Finnson) were married in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada in 1911.
Chris and Bena were both children of Icelandic immigrants, they were both born in the 1890's in the North American mid west and they both traveled with their parents to the Pacific Northwest at the beginning of the twentieth century. They lived in and around Blaine, Washington, finally settling on the farm south of Blaine. One of their most significant accomplishments was their growing family; beginning with the birth of their first child, Lillian in 1912 to their last child, Leona in 1936. During that time span, their family grew to thirteen children, seven boys and six girls.
